i've been in love with your art style for a while now and i've been trying to figure out why it's so appealing to me. I think it's because you somehow manage to make digital art look like oil pastels.

(i don't know many tone indicator abbreviations but please read this in a sincere and impressed tone.)

im a bit in between atm, i really like dabihawks but i also just want gen sometimes or "team as family" type stuff. Im also really interested where the current manga arc will go and i think it would be more interesting to look at their dynamic in a non shipping way or least in a hate/love way rather than the enemies to lovers way most people ship them in

That’s a pretty big mood. Honestly, I just prefer gen in general. I enjoy romance and I enjoy writing romance, but I want it to be there to underscore an already-meaningful relationship and/or character arc. I personally have very, very little interest in romance for the sake of romance. (Lots of people do, though, and I don’t intend to disparage that!) On top of that, I’m severely picky about ‘enemies to lovers’ because I can’t relate to the narrative of ‘these two people want each other even though they hate each other’ at all. A lot of love-hate just reads like a prototypical kinda-toxic ‘chosen one falls in love-hate with hot bad boy’ YA fantasy romance, to me - I feel like I don’t really get it!

I think Hawks and Dabi are canonically potentially on their way to something more interesting (my soul for confirmed childhood friendship, please), and there is a ton of DabiHawks content out there that I genuinely really enjoy! It’s just not a ship I’m at all interested in for its own sake, if that makes sense.

These two prompts were similar enough that I combined them into one, not coincidentally because I am actually physically incapable of writing Hawks permanently losing his wings. I would actually rather kill him off entirely. This is, somehow, my one (1) line in the sand?

I think perhaps this is not as angsty as I guessed the original prompt was angling at, but I ended up taking the intervention and support idea and running, especially because, like - Hawks wasn’t the only one really messed up in chapter 267, and I wanted to explore how Miruko and Hawks could work through their respective issues together (even if this drabble is more Hawks-focused).

Aw, I love you. <3 I think you were like a 6/10 for me for a while, but that was purely because I’m very used to being surrounded by people who hardcore tone signal with emojis over text and you do less of that, so it was harder for me to get a read on your tone - but a lot of people are like that, so once I remind myself that not spamming tone signals doesn’t indicated a nonplussed tone, I let it go, pff.

Also, thank you so much for saying that. qAq It is still So trippy for me that I’m in that ‘cool content creator’ category for some people!

Your lines are so soft! Your color theory is beyond my ken and I love looking at it! The fucking atmosphere of your DabiHawks stuff! I swoon, and thus I am slain!

I see you, too, enjoy the hell out of Shinsou, so if I could possibly suggest -

Aizawa finding Shinsou, fallen asleep in an alcove just out of the rain by of one of the UA gyms because they were going to train together, but Aizawa got unavoidably held up with important hero work?

Aw, wtf, thank you so much for saying something so lovely. qAq <3 I had a GREAT time writing this fic for my own self, so the fact that other people have enjoyed it so much has been low key overwhelmingly awesome!
