So Sniper's "real" dad took off with their sub...
...and all of their weapons.
Well shit.
So there was a post I saw about Sniper killing a guy because he was abusing a kitten (here's the post) and for some reason that got me thinking about Sniper making killings for revenge instead of just being hired on to do them.
So the train of thought continued, and I feel like Sniper would take things extremely personally if someone wronged him, or his family, and throw all level of professionalism out the window. I began to picture someone holding his parents hostage, a gun to their heads, demanding that Sniper fetch them money, or objects, or drugs or something. His mum is crying, his dad is trying his best to keep a composed demeanor, probably holding Mum's hand to keep her grounded, and it's just a huge mess of the hostage taker screaming at Sniper to do things, screaming at Mrs. Mundy to shut up because she's still crying, Sniper trying to keep the situation under control by just talking, and no one can hear anything through all the noise.
And then the hostage taker gets fed up with it. With a final demand for Sniper's mum to shut her face, they either slap her, shove her to the ground, or pistol-whip her, and Sniper flips his lid. You do NOT mess with his mother, you just don't, and he crosses the room in record time to punch this guy flat on his back. There's probably a struggle, though not much of one, as Sniper's more used to combat (probably also has great upper body strength from all the climbing he does to reach the high ground), and he finally manages to wrestle the pistol out of the hostage taker's hand in order to use it against them.
But he's gonna make them suffer first.
With a few shots to their gut, maybe one in their shoulder, or leg, he probably gets them a good four or five times before he finally makes some cold comment about messing with the wrong bloke, sending the guy to Hell, etc, and making the finishing shot through the temple. The adrenaline's finally starting to wear down now that the deed's been done, but now he's left with a body, and some very shaken up parents. He turns to ask if they're all right, but the words catch in his throat when he sees the looks on their faces.
They're holding each other, his mum's face buried in his dad's chest, and his dad looks...stoic. He can tell by the look in his eyes that he's terrified, apprehensive, and Sniper's pretty sure that it wasn't the guy who broke into their house what did that... He's suddenly aware of the blood, on his clothes, on the floor, on his skin, and he just sort of drops the gun, swallowing the lump in his throat. It's so common to him, ending a life, that he almost forgot most people had never seen it happen... His parents are probably just afraid of him now as they were of the hostage taker... It's a bitter thought, but he was only trying to protect them, and he can only hope that they understand that.
"Dad...take mum outside."
His dad rushes out without a word, taking his mum out with him, and Sniper sighs, setting to work disposing of the body, and cleaning up.
