For the fanfiction trope grading: Found Family
and why would you give it that grade?
Laughs and looks at all the fics and non fics thinks I read
A++, look I'm a sucker for this I just want people to be happy and with people they love, that try their damnest to understand and help and it being so so mutual
Even in my most gory angsty moments it hurts me to make the found family break apart (even if it's via death) in my mind they should be together till the end of time
Though don't misunderstand if it's a dysfunctional found family then they gotta talk and maybe break apart for a bit or forever only happy gushy family feels here (< says the person who loves conflict)
Sadly it's a trope thats common and overused, people forget that it's not all happy sunshine and often times erase characters traits or conflicts to make it work, or just outright ignore things without ever touching them
Also it gets often written in the style of nuclear families with clear parents and children without taking in the messy aspects of feelings that make those things much more fluid or not even able to narrow down at all with words
