I give every new phase of my life a title, or maybe a code name. 2026, in it's disgusting, even numbered glory, has been going by:
19hrs in the stone.
it's key factors include: smoking lots of cigarettes (lucky strikes, henry's brand), red lipstick, research projects that involve hours in the library or otherwise messed up desks, poetry that is about more things than just god (hellsboare), a novella about girls who read, lace underwear, gothic disco and other Russian synth bands, food diaries, and hopefully more skinny dipping, once the snow clears.
I don't WANNA do my uni work I wanna write fanfiction about my favourite characters going through hell 😔

The Duffers are my number one ops because why do so many of their characters have inconsistent ages/birth years. I'm about to write out my own canon at this point like bro PLEASE.
I guess the consistent plot were the friends we made off screen :(

Like yes "dark" academics but all the dark academia communities on here are all aesthetic based or extra niche. It would be nice for people to share book recs, research papers and interesting articles, and yeah, some "aesthetic" stuff - but in generally taking advantage of the intellectual subculture of dark academia not the visual one.
