FAREWELL FROM RUTH

As you guys may have noticed from my post on merlinpodfic, the Merlin Out Loud Podfic Bang is closed for the year. This also means farewell as I'll be leaving this blog. I'll continue running merlinpodfic, but my participation in admin-ing themerlinfandom was a temporary thing.

It's been a blast. Long Live the Merlin fandom :D

The collection has been closed. The Merlin Out Loud Podfic Bang is officially over.

I just wanted to say that I'm completely over the moon. The Merlin Out Loud Podfic Bang is the first fest I've ever hosted, so every podfic you wonderful people submit feels like a gift to me. Everyone is so talented, and y'all have such sexy voices.

Seriously, I did not expect the person who podficced "Fuckweasel", one of the hottest podfics ever, or RsCreighton who did "When I Close My Eyes" to submit to my fest. Nor did I expect rowanbrandybuck to podfic not one, not two, but four stories, three of which are by neuroticnick, whom I consider to be a BNF. neurotnick's series "It's My Desire" consisting of 2 works generated 2 podfics each from rowanbrandybuck and RsCreighton respectively. Not to mention readbyjela, who is extremely prolific and submitted this and this. And let's not forget originally, who submitted their first Merlin podfic to my fest!

(And myself, of course; I podficced Emjayelle's "If Greater Want of Skill".)

This blog will continue to be a podfic rec blog when KC and I finally get our arses round to posting the rest of the recs with tags and stuff. Feel free to submit podfic recs to us in the meantime! Also, what do you say to us bringing back this fest in 2015?

Thank you, everyone. This fest has been a blast. I hope I've succeeded in spreading the podfic love, and that you've had just as much fun as I have.
