Winners of 'Finish that Fic, Merlin!' 2022/2023!!!

As always, let's start out with a few statistics: This year you managed to collectively write 249,312 words and finish 15 fics!! Less words than last year, but more fics finished which is what this fest is all about!

And now for the winners!!

Having finished a total of 6 fics Excited _Insomniac wins the category for 'Most Fic Finished' and thus also the honour of having art made by none other than @schweetheart

Typing down a total of 60898 words means that @colinshughes wins for 'Most Words Written' and will be the lucky recipent of art made by the amazing @h-l-w

For finishing a fic that was started all the way back in 2017 @thepolomonkey once again wins the category for 'Oldest Fic FInished' and will receive art made by the talented @mirayladraws

Congratulations to all the winners!! Feel free to contact your artist to figure out what you want your prize to be. Remember though, that the artist is doing this of their own free will and if you demand something they aren't willing to create, they are free to say no. In which case you then have to wish for something different.

Aaaaand I think that should be all for now! Thank you all so much for participating, and I hope to see as many of you as possible back for the next round! (Which will start in November)

Sign Ups are OPEN!!!

It's that time of the year again. ACBB, and various other fests have ended and because life happened to you, you didn't finish your fics and now have a million WIPs and very little motivation to finish them. Fear not, because 'Finish that Fic, Merlin!' is here to help you finish those blasted WIPs!

The fest will run from November 1st 2022 to March 31st 2023, but sign ups are already open right here on Livejournal although you don't need an actual Livejournal account to sign up, only a Google account.

If this is your first time participating, be sure to read How this fest Works and the FAQs first.

If you don't feel like writing, but still want to participate, you can sign up as a beta/cheerleader.

And don't forget to head over to the Discord server 'The Tavern(18+)' where there's a designated channel for this fest so we can all whine about finishing our fics together.

Monthly Round Up - January

We're already well into February, and it's now time for the monthly round up!! This post has been heavily delayed due to real life taking its toll on your favourite mod. Hopefully, you've still been writing in the meantime. Monthly Round Up - November

As no one has finished any of their WIPs this month - they've probably been too busy with nanowrimo or their holiday fics - there's only going to be a list of most words written so far: 1. @a-written-dream with 38,737 words written 2. @elveatas with 13,632 words written 3. @sparringett with 11,956 words written Next month, let's hope we see some finished WIPs. But even if not, it's great to see that a LOT of words are being written!!! And don't forget it's still not too late to sign up for this fest! It’s that time of the year again...

ACBB has just ended, the winter fests have started. you still have a million WIPs laying about from failed attempts at both, and now you want a clean slate and a clear conscience. Fear not, because ‘Finish that Fic, Merlin’ is here to help you achieving that goal. Or at least help you get a little closer to it.
