Chris's dad handmade the beautiful arch that they got married underneath as a wedding gift, from sturdy redwood. He hauled it all the way from San Diego to Palm Springs, with the hopes that one day Chris and Vickie would have a backyard that they could place it in - as a reminder not only of their wedding day, but of the love and hard work that marriage is. I'm a BIG fan of the LITTLE things - handmade gifts, handwritten notes and personalized touches. You know, I've kept every single note ever sent to us over the last few years from our couples - I value those thank you notes more than anything. Once we buy our new house in Colorado and we get a real office (because #goals) ... I fully intend on displaying them directly across from my desk. As a reminder that we get to serve the best people, as a reminder that the early mornings and late nights are worth it, as a reminder that we do matters to others. Do you still send handwritten notes and give homemade gifts? #radweddings #merlove2017 @spencers_ps @firstpick @flowermart @merlo48 @itsmevickieb @signaturepartyandevent (at Spencer's Restaurant)
