In the vast seas there was a pirate ship that was known to have captured a siren. No other ships that have crossed paths with it has ever been seen again. This siren hated his life, he was tied up to the front of the boat, he could feel the water splashing on his scales but alas, he could never swim in such waters again.Every day he was forced to sing, to use his voice in a way he didn't want to, or get punished if he didn't.He was tired, hungry, broken, siren. And he wanted freedom from this prison
When the night was quiet and all ships were still, a merman peeked his head up from the sea. He had heard singing and decided to pursue the sound, alarmed to see the siren captured. Sirens were supposed to be faster than mermaids. It meant that whoever captured him was skilled, and had done this before. He began to worry of he should really involve himself in this. He hadn't wanted to be captured, after all. He swam a little closer to the siren, moonlight catching off his tail, reflecting a glint of gold.
