Stone desperately trying to pull him back down where it's safe and stopping him from going back only for reader to swim his way back to the surface

Stone trying to find reader and goes to the surface to see reader chatting with a human and Stone panicking

Kali giving a cute merman!reader human food only for reader to be dragged away by a gruff and grumpy merman!Stone

Stone scolding reader for talking with a human and reader just replies "okay, but he was cute right?"

Stone is flabbergasted by his behavior and also silently agrees

Kali not knowing that two merman are fangirling about how much of a cutie he is

Merman!Stone is like "Yes, he's cute but he's human!" And you just don't understand why that's a bad thing, which causes him to have a conniption because he inherently distrusts humans but he also understands why you're drawn to this human. He also might be a little jealous because he wishes you liked him like you like the human (you do, he just doesn't know it).

Kali is just enamored by the bubbly merman who enjoys his company (you) and the grumpy merman who drags you away without fail whenever he sees you and Kali together (Stone). He wants to have you both, is that selfish?

Merman!reader, who has been having late night talks with Kali very frequently, so reader decides to formally introduce merman!Stone to Kali

And when Stone finally meets Kali up close, he has to tell himself that he's just a pesky human and not insanely attractive

Meanwhile, Kali is thinking how to court two mermen and reader is all doe eyed that his two favorite people are hanging out

Kali enjoys the differences between you and Stone, enjoying how you're quick to talk with him for hours while also enjoying the raw power Stone exudes. You're the softness that Kali loves in his life and Stone is the rough edges that Kali can't help but to love. He wants the both of you and he's intent on courting you two.

Stone is wondering why his grumpy ass fell in love with two sunshiney people. He has an abundance of light now that you're intent on dragging him along with you to your nightly talks with Kali, but he can't help but be drawn to the way you both make his life so much brighter. He wants the both of you, but he doesn't know if he should act on his feelings.

You have the best of both worlds, a fellow merman who is your long-time protector and a human who gently and patiently shows you what it's like on land. They're both protective over you, in their own special ways. Stone is the type to get violent to protect you while Kali would try and deescalate the situation. But when it comes down to it, they both want to protect you. One lives in the world you've already known and one lives in a world you want to know more about. You want both of them and you will have them both.

merman!stone x pirate!reader

You were sailing the ocean sea with your crew, you being the captain of a pirate ship. The air was crisp, the sound of the open sea calming you. Everything was well.

Until a huge storm came your way.

The winds were raging, water surrounding you from all sides as the ship was rocked by the tumultuous waves and rain poured down the sky. You were trying your best to keep the ship from capsizing, intent on keeping you and your crew alive.

But Mother Nature had different plans for you. She decided you had done something to offend her and you and your crew needed to pay the price.

You fought to steer the ship out of the storm, but the fight was for naught as a huge tidal wave rose up and slammed into your ship. You cried out as you got flung away from the helm, you and your crew all flying into the sea.

The water was so choppy, you were having trouble staying afloat. Your head bobbed up and down from the surface of the water, your feet kicking hard to keep your head above the water. Soon, however, you got exhausted and your legs slowed, causing you to slip deeper under water.

You thought this was it, you lived the good life. You sailed the seven seas, you plundered to your heart's content, you said no to the traditional rules of society. Perhaps this truly was your time, your death was inevitable.

And then, like a burst of fresh air, a creature that could only be described as a merman came swimming towards you. His tail was an ebony black like his flowing locks of hair, his brown gilled skin scarred from various harpoons. He shot towards you like a man on a mission, his burly hands coming to grip you by the armpits.

It was in that moment that the lack of oxygen took over, drifitng your eyes closed. The next time you opened your eyes, you were on the shore of a beach, surrounded by your coming-to crew who were all just so happy to be alive.

You were soaking wet, but you were no longer in the midst of the storm. You sat up and felt the conch shell that had been placed on your chest fall to your lap, causing you to realize it was there. You took a hold of the conch shell and lifted it up to fully see it.

"A conch shell," your first mate murmured, walking over to you. "Other pirates say there's been a mer creature who saves drowning pirates and leaves conch shells with them afterwards. Supposedly, the conch shell is like a calling device, you blow into it and the mer creature with come to help. Guess you must've made an impression, captain."

Your eyes went back to the conch shell before going to look up at the horizon. The horizon was always the most beautiful with the sea down below it and now you knew there was a certain helpful merman out there, just waiting for your call.

Merman!Stone who got caught on nets when he was trying to save a turtle which was also caught on a net and he's thrashing around so much, now washed up on the shore of a beach.

You were walking on the beach when you stumbled upon him, seeing this... creature who's so scarred from run-ins with several fishermen, scars from harpoons covering most every inch of his skin.

He bares his sharpened teeth at you, clearly assuming you're a threat. Because when were humans never not a threat to mermen like him?

Still, you slowly walk over, saying you're here to help him. And he gets even more antsy when you pull out of a knife, but you don't cut him. No, you cut the nets, freeing him.

Unfortunately, he's injured somehow due to getting caught in the nets, so he can't swim home. And you're not about to leave an injured creature.

So you end coaxing him into allowing you to take him to your house, which has a nice pool, so you can help him heal. Stone's still so wary of you, but he has no other choice so he ends up in the back of your truck, on his way to your home.

He really hopes he isn't making a mistake by trusting you.
