Today’s merMory update: it’s adult swim night at the private neighborhood pool I’ve got a membership to, and NONE of my friends showed up 😂

I’m not mad at -them- or anything. A bunch of them caught covid on our choir trip, and the rest of them were expecting it to rain.

Mostly I’m about to look like a dingdong because (after I finish this sandwich) I’m going to be the ONLY person actually swimming around, because ALL the other people here are clustered around one wall of the pool drinking beers and talking about…idk, whatever the straights are interested in these days.

Honestly? Hanging out by myself in one of my nice mermaid tails actually sounds pretty nice right now? As long as everyone else is busy enough getting drunk to let me be autistic in peace 🤣
