Day 16 of the October building challenge by @clouseplayssims: Apprentice quarters

Skipping ahead once again to try and catch up! This is Mernoc’s first university, built just in time for my high-class teenagers to get a proper tertiary education. I had a lot of fun making the dean pose in different hats and hairstyles to create a wall of ‘dean portraits’ to make the university look more respectable.

Day 10 of the October build challenge by @clouseplayssims: Tailor

Oops, I’ve fallen behind so much, I’m going to have to skip a few days of the challenge if I want to keep up! I was in the mood for an industrial building, in order to use those huge two-story windows and lamps. Here is Mernoc Manufacturers Inc., churning out the latest fashions! Complete with a guard’s booth, a covered area for stocks, and a washing/ironing area. 

Not yet sure whether to turn this into a community lot, or keep it as residential and add some living areas to make it into a workhouse for poorer sims...

Day 2 of the October build challenge by @clouseplayssims: Merchant House

I’m hoping one of my poorer/farmer Sims will one day get enough cash to ascend to the merchant class. This would be their first home, a grocery shop downstairs and the family home upstairs!

With my police station underway, I needed an uniform for my police officers! Modeled by Virgil Caraway, who for now represents the entirety of the Mernoc police department.

I finally bit the bullet and decided to try my hand at creating something. I grabbed the Glamour Life uniform and edited out that terrible sash, but I did keep these gloriously shiny boots.

Made my poorer Sims some new flats... frankly the old ones were quite ugly, lazy rectangular building at its finest! For the moment, it’s home to the Evans (until these teens move on to bigger and better things), the Shuring, and the Darling boys (fresh from the countryside).
