Not to keep harping on TUA S4, but that last anon reminded me that it's kind of hilarious how I actually got a lot of things I wanted out of the season, just in the wrong ways.

"I hope Ben doesn't have a romance with Jennifer!" = Technically doesn't because it's forced onto them by the marigold/durango reacting to each other, but it's still a "romance" by TUA standards.

"I hope Diego and Lila break up, or at least that the writing will acknowledge they're not healthy!" = They do, but in the most agonizing way possible with no resolution to the point that I can't be relieved.

"I hope Klaus has an intimate relationship with a woman, even in passing!" = He does, multiple times, but it's because he's being trafficked.

"I'll take any ending as long as it's not a time loop!" = Weeeell...

Truly a Monkey's Paw kind of situation and I need to be clearer about my wishes in the future. "The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want", indeed lmao

Thinking really hard about how Luke just wanted to go to Nellie's wedding. Thinking about how he got turned away bc he wasn't sober (but he was trying, he was trying so hard!!!) and thinking about how Nellie Absolutely Would NOT have turned him away if she had known that he tried to come.

Thinking about how much they loved each other. How connected. How Luke literally physically felt her distress and the moment she died through their connection, and mistook it for withdrawals and couldn't understand what was happening but deep down he Knew. He knew. Because it's a Twin Thing.

Thinking soooooo hard about how they loved each other so much that even Death couldn't truly sever their bond.

I had to run some business errands today and decided to treat myself to ice cream. While there, I noticed the guy behind the counter—tall, tough looking guy with cool piercings and tattoos—was wearing what I thought looked like a Kingdom Hearts pendant. The only thing is that he didn't really look like the kind of guy who would be into the Mickey Mouse Anime game and the pendant was Roxas', which if you're not familiar with it, is really just a pointy X. It's basic enough that I could imagine it being a design in any sort of alternative fashion or even maybe a guy who just really thinks ninjas are cool (could be a shuriken). And I'm a timid person IRL, right? Like, too nervous to speak up when the Subway guy mishears me and gets my order wrong timid. But it's a really cool pendant, and I had the same one in high school, andddd at this point, while I'm standing in line, my curiosity is mounting and more than missing out on complimenting someone, I know the question will bug me if I don't ask.

Still debating when I get up to the counter, thinking how awkward it would be if I'm wrong or if the guy just is Not in the mood for chitchatting to customers... The guy ended up sounding really chipper and open and I figure oh, fine, why not. At best, I'm right and I can give someone a compliment over something I think is fun, and at worst, I'm wrong and maybe he gets a laugh anyway. So I tell him I like his pendant and ask if he's a Kingdom Hearts fan, and ohhh my stars LOL.

I have never seen a man jump so high or get so excited so fast. Like this dude went from Customer Service Friendly to jumping away from the counter yelling to his coworker "SHE KNOOOOWS, BRO!!! SHE KNEEEEEW!!!!!" and gjskgjdkfndk it was so delightful to see someone get so happy. Then when he gave me my ice cream he told me that I deserved the world and tbh that made my whole day.

Soooo moral of the story is it's nice to compliment people if you think they're cool or whatever. Just go for it. I think that people tend to appreciate it. That was a 11/10 ice cream experience. I hope that guy is living his best Simple and Clean life and has a good week. Highkey kinda sad we will probably never meet again bc I would have loved to talk to him about KH.

I really wanna know the songs that never fail to tug at your heartstrings in a deep, visceral way whether it's the lyrics, the chord progression, anything.

I'm making a playlist of songs that make me feel something sharply in my chest and would love more recs to listen to!
