Another small sketch of them. Archie finds Wally to be a delight, he reminds him of his friend Charmie. (He is wrong, he and Wally are much more similar. He just doesn't know it! Haha!)

I honestly don't know how to open up with this but I will say hello! My name is Chi (Chicken) and welcome to this little blog I made for a simple lighthearted puppet show concept I had thought of back in 2023-2024. (This reference piece was made/finished around Jan 2024)

How do I describe it? I guess... If Sesame Street were to appeal to tweens or a show that's for the kids who grew up with the former now moving onto a new chapter of their life. Now they handle much more serious topics in more detail while still maintaining a sense of whimsy, I thought it would be nice. I'd love to make a page for them one day but for now this blog will simply do. Let's talk about them, this is going to be long so bear with me;

The Street Sweetie (Charmie) - Like a little bee, she's very drawn to flowers and has a bunch of them around her house and inside her house. If you give her a flower, she'd be very very happy because you'd give her a new friend to talk to and take care of. (Expect a small jar of honey on your doorstep the next day!)

The Local Dallying DJ (Archie) - He is a chill and kind but notably clumsy and dim-witted axolotl, sometimes tripping over his feet and forgetting where he's supposed to end up but still wants to give everyone a great time. He has a bit of a memory problem and is quite scatterbrained at times. Speaking of that he once left a piece of burnt toast in the freezer... Who does that??

The Heedful Caretaker / MGL's Mom (Lydia) - She owns an establishment that is a mixture of a library and a cafe. Typically the perfect study area for all the people around Merry-Go-Lane! With an abundance of knowledgeable literacies and the comfort of homemade cooking... What's not to love?

The Haughty Hotshot (Dazz) - She is a falling star waiting to be lifted up again from the moon and back! All she ever wants to be is a real shooting star, racking up to the highest ranks of fame and fathom! To be the best model, actor, singer, artist, anything her heart would love to achieve that the goals she wants to strive for! The best is all she wants to be! An unrealistic expectation and ideal for her, but she's willing to work hard and go for it! Go little popstar, go!

The Capricious Couturier Duo (Rod&Rad) - As mentioned ("Couture"), the twins are passionate fashion designers but with opposing ends in terms of taste. Rod likes classical tones, his pieces inspired mostly with the Victorian and Baroque period. Rad on the other hand prefers the more simpler current trends in the 70s, Double collared shirts with tacky designs, flared-bottoms and more. Despite creative differences, they always manage to make do with everything and it all works out in the end.

The Tacky Technician / MGL's Dad (Tomas) - He is one burly man with a heart of gold and a knack for the electronics, he loves to tell his stories about the time he worked for the Navy and all of his adventures across the world and mostly by sea! He once stated that he wrestled a giant live octopus once, and he was allergic to octopi! Despite that, he defeated the massive monster and saved his crew. Wow, such a brave and noble soul!

The Bashful Behemoth (Higgles) - Higgles is one big colorful and shy platypus who lives in the outskirts of Winkler Bay! Comforted by the calm and soothing presence of nature as he prefers to be alone in over his humble patch of flowers. Though, seldom times he appreciates company such as Charmie's! Charmie likes to visit him often just to give him new flower seeds or deliver homemade honey, since he's so shy and reserved even though he's a big ol cuddly boy who just wants to give hugs!

That's all for now! (Plus a small doodle of Charmie from 2023 to add!) Will I share some more old art and possibly continue to tell? Soon enough, I would love to but I do admit they need a bit of a touch up since the last year, but for now I shall take my leave. It is very nice to meet all of you... Toodle-loo and remember to smile—it’s the shortest distance between two hearts!
