Big props to Stardew Valley Expanded for the revamp of the Spirit’s Eve maze. I love it, Mertus loves it, we both love it. Let’s get SPOOKY

OH YEAH
Big props to Stardew Valley Expanded for the revamp of the Spirit’s Eve maze. I love it, Mertus loves it, we both love it. Let’s get SPOOKY
The Public Garden on Mertus’ farm, it carries seasonal flowers and other aesthetically pleasing plants to make a little garden walk. The crops are sold at the end of the season to help support the farm.
Mechanically of course, to keep expanding at the rate I want to get the farm set up, I sell and replant sooner but that’s because Mertus can’t spend his days in town making money for telling stories in the pub or doing handy work or something.
I’ve got roses in the corner from the Mizu’s flower mod but I’m saving most of my exploration of the new crops for year two (almost there!), I’ve also got a fence and scarecrow mod running to help keep up appearances
Mertus and Abby making music in the rain! Finally the bard gets to play a little music (he knew farming involved work, he didn’t think it involved this much work)
Abby is def one of the candidates for ‘farm hand’ (marriage) but I haven’t thought through all the candidates yet, and I’m not fully acquainted with the ones stardew valley expanded brings to the table
I am however thinking of using each of the singles in stardew valley as inspiration for a little short with retiree Mertus. He and Abigail, of course, would go off on an adventure because that’s what she’d like to do, and Mertus isn’t very good at being retired.
A Song for Shipwrecks
Yeah we've all been feeling blue. Yes, we've all been feeling down, But if we don't start swimming Then I guess we're going t' drown. Is it six feet from the bottom? Or six feet from the shore? There's too much water in my eyes I just can't tell no more. Johnny mumbles out his prayers, Teddy's taken off his coat. We all just feel a little blue, Since we lost the bloody boat.
Oh man, is this a cue for Elliot and Mertus to begin a giant folklore project a la brother’s grimm but with less fussing with the originals? Heck yes, or something like it anyways
