The string of robberies were more than annoying. One would think finding the thieves of street food vendors would be easy to track down. They were out in the open. They were always surrounded by people. The cart owners never had anything out of the ordinary to report until they checked their cash boxes at the end of the day. Every time, they were totally empty! At least seven vendors had fallen victim to this thief thus far.
Local authorities were doing what they could to solve the crimes and mitigate public worry. It was becoming clearer that their suspect was illegally using their Quirk to somehow get all these ill gotten gains, so the Heroes were called in. Well, one showed up. Petty thievery isn’t as exciting or glamorous as other jobs, but justice is justice.
Copy Cat lingers behind officers as they question vendors and witnesses. She scribbles madly on her notepad, not unlike the cops around her. Her ears are pinned down and her pupils are dilated in concentration. The police are better at asking the questions than she is, but she drinks in every detail she comes across. The tiniest factoid could be enough to get her a lead on her thief... or thieves? It’s just that vague.
The whiskers on her ears and eyebrows twitch, feeling movement in the air. Someone is crossing the police line. An orange ear turns to the intruder’s direction, followed by the rest of her head. A journalist, here? It was hard enough to get Heroes out. She didn’t think the press would even be interested if Pros weren’t around. Of course, she’s not exactly counting herself. She typically stays away from the microphones and cameras.
“Oh, weird,” she thinks aloud in the tall man’s direction.
