No Good Mail || Amelia & Edgar

Amelia had woken up in a great mood, ready to attack the day. The intention was to enjoy her day off, spend some time running errands, get a good cup of coffee, stop by and see Edgar and the kids, etc. Her only mistake was reading the post before leaving the house. She’d gotten a letter from her Aunt Rebecca complete with photos of what she considered to be eligible bachelors. 

Forgoing all her other errands, Amelia headed straight to Edgar’s house and let herself in. “Ed? Please tell me you have coffee... or ice cream. Ooh, or both.”

Edgar rolled his eyes but did head to the break room to grab some coffee before making his way to her office. As he approached her door, her latest paper airplane smacked him dead in the forehead with a small crunch. “Honestly, Ames, I said I was coming down,” He said as he entered, two cups balanced in one hand as he opened the paper with the other, skimming it. "And I never forget the cream, brat. Take your bloody coffee," Edgar offered, coming beside her with a kiss to her cheek and gift of hot drink.

She couldn't help but laugh as her latest memo smacked right into Edgar's forehead. "What did I tell you about the name-calling, hmm?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You deserved that thing hitting you in the face, it's instant karma."

Amelia took the coffee from him and immediately took a sip, nodding in approval. There was nothing quite as satisfying as a nice, hot cup of coffee. Picking up the file from her desk, she handed it over to Edgar. "Right, so take a look at this and tell me that you're going to immediately sign your partner up for a penmanship course."
