They should make a movie like Grindhouse but for 90s comedies instead of 70s exploitation films.
I imagine the entire film being like a VHS tape; it starts with a blue screen, then it cuts to black and starts playing some fake movie trailers, then there's a big studio title card "Our Feature Presentation," and then the movie proper begins and it's a send up to the campy pre-9/11 action comedies (for some reason I'm thinking exclusively of Will Smith vehicles like Men in Black, Independence Day, Wild Wild West), any Roland Emmerich movie, disaster movies (Dante's Peak/Volcano, Deep Impact/Armageddon), those sorts of things, peak 90s
Lots of practical effects, a few scenes with really crappy CGI, tons of video artifacts (distortions, static, scan lines). Maybe there'd be a gimmick where part of the movie stops working, so they rewind or fast forward through it. It definitely needs a meta element
And there would be post-credits bonus features because DVD menus hadn't been invented yet
