Well, night one of Metallica’s 40th anniversary was amazing. Got to the venue at about 4:45pm and thought there was no way we were going to get close to the stage. Boy were we wrong! We were right behind folks on the rail! Great mix of songs (Fixxxer! Unbelievable!) Didn’t originally get my hands on a pick, damn near got trampled by people trying to get them. The guy next to me must have caught a few because he handed one to me. It made my night! Looking forward to Sunday’s show.

Final #metallica40 memories that remain post… #jameshetfield @metallica ⚡️👑 1. #papahet introducing @kyngband Orion Music + More #atlanticcity NJ June 2012- HE took a selfie w me on HIS phone!?🤯 A few months prior James emailed me asking to help pick out bands to jam at fest, and KYNG were on the top of my list. He was a big fan of the band so it was easy choice. This is the ultimate selfie of my whole life! 2. James interview in @rollingstone Nov 2008 and he’s asked the question “what are you listening to these days?” His answer melted my brain and I’m still freaking out about it. I remember being on bus from NJ-NYC early AM when a friend told me about it. When I got to Port Authority I ran to newsstand, frantically searched for #rollingstone flipped through pages until I saw James’ pic, found shout out, screamed aloud and showed the people in line & cashier. They were all so stoked for me!!! 3. James & I BIG 4 backstage @yankees stadium Bronx NY Sept 2011 @siriusxm & @mtv2 #headbangersball interviews. After this hang I got call from management saying that METALLICA wanted me to introduce them on stage before their set. I got so unbelievably nervous but it ended up being a pretty cool intro that made the lead sentence in @nytimes article about the #big4 event directly quoting me. The executives #siriusxm were very pleased w that and it changed my life within the company forever. 🙏🏽 ThanX @anabellapoland for taking 📸! 4. BIG 4 Indio, CA April 2011 @siriusxm @sxmliquidmetal interview w Hetfield. 5. Another cool PapaHet moment feeling the love from him at Orion Music + More June 2012 Atlantic City, NJ. 6. James interview in METALLICA 30th anniversary program where he says that I was an option as host for that. He mentions #davegrohl & Jim Breuer who was actual host. I should have shown him this so I could’ve done it for the 40th. Hey James let me host 50th!!!!! 7. Hi all, I'm back after what? A year long plus hiatus? Not sure how many of my old followers are still here??

The boys playing at their 40th anniversary shows has just totally reignited my obsession with this band (it never really went away, just lack of time to keep up on here). Anyway, not sure if it's possible to love this band (James especially) more than I already do, but apparently so!

Metallica’s 40th anniversary show number two started off great and then turned into a nightmare. We waited three hours and ended up just behind the folks on the rail at Hetfield’s break area. The minute Hardwired started, a huge mosh pit formed right behind us and my Mom and I got severely crushed. When I started to slowly move back to get some air, some mosher asshole punched me repeatedly in the back. Well, Mom’s mama bear instincts kicked in and she slugged him. Two guys managed to pull us out to safety but ended up like 7 rows of people back. It bummed me out. I honestly had to look at the setlist after the show because I couldn’t remember what was playing after Hardwired. I’ve never been in that situation before so I was a bit shaken up. I get that, that shit happens and you take a gamble with GA but man, it can ruin an evening. On a brighter note, I ended up with another pick after it bounced off my glasses. I now have one from both shows.

Rob @chloetrujillo & his amazing loving familia came to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary party @melissammangin and I threw in July of this year, and we were blessed to have them there! Everyone was TRIPPING out, so were we, but we all tried to play it cool. It’s so crazy when your idols become your friends. 🤍🙏🏽 2 & 3. Metallica @allwithinmyhandsfoundation day of giving back @lafoodbank May 2019, where we helped to pack fruit for the homeless, and Rob led us volunteers in doing something good for our communities. Felt great being there w him and all the others giving back in the name of Metal. 4 Orion Music + More, Detroit June 2013 w @shawnthebutcher @sxmliquidmetal @siriusxm coverage from the band’s 2nd festival that they curated. Rob greeted Shawn and I with big hugs!😊 5. Fukkin Slayer’s final performance LA Nov 2019 w Rob’s son, the one and only @tyetru who I also love like a son (see next paragraph)! 6. Ty, my future son in law (I hope🤞🏽) w my beautiful and talented daughter @myamangin (she sings so maybe they’ll start a band together 🤞🏽) at Venice Beach April 2018 watching Ty’s band @otttoband perform. Mya is only a year older than Ty so hopefully my grand plan of marrying my way into the Metallica family works!!!! I’m manifesting hard to make this a reality! Both sets of parents already signed off on the prearranged marriage!☑️☑️Haha! 😇 7. Interviewing Roberto at #Metallica HQ north of San Francisco 10 years ago before their 30th anniversary shows.
