Halfway through my #42DaysOfPurposeDrivenLife I stumbled upon this latest edition of @Rick Warren's Bestseller together with the Purpose-Driven Church. An amazing Combination of Living in and belonging to a Church driven by God's purpose. This is actually the gift I am asking for these copy. . . I actually pray that someone would give this to me as a birthday gift before my actual birthday. Coffee. . . For the past decade this has become my buddy whenever I need to keep myself awake while beating deadlines on my Nursing Care Plans to be passed the following day after a gruelling afternoon shift duty... Or, whenever I need to stay awake after a shift in rotation of Call Center Duty from Morning to Night Shift and back... Or, whenever I need to stay up attending Law School Classes after finishing a 200 page coverage... I learned to be more tolerant to drinking coffee. Like I always exceed the 400mg daily caffeine intake. (especially when I took caffeine-based diet pills) In the end. If you really want to get together and talk the whole night with me. Who would have thought that I'll become a lawyer? When I was a child my parents would be the one to decide. My father wants me to become a lawyer. My mother wants me to become a medical doctor... After that amazing adventure of becoming a financial planner, lawyer, and a professional teacher. Here I am. Fulfilling that childhood dream to become a lawyer. Most people of my age might be successful already. But I do not care. I have my success very soon. Coffee Shops... One of the most visited places whenever I want to get out of my School - Apartment Routine. It would cost some much. But it's worth it... Sometimes, I'll be getting my book read here while listening to the mood music played by the shop. Some other time. I'll have my laptop on (as long as they have an outlet available) and do my stuff here. Others, just to meet common friends ands strangers I met from dating sites... In the future, I'm seeing myself being on coffee and tea shops where I meet people who wants to consult me. Or even yet, get into the business thinking ways to edge out competition..... To those who catches this post and I might ask you the question to what would me my favorite beverage. If I have enough money I'll be treating you by providing this answer: Hot: Venti Mintgreen Tea (Or any thing as long it has a teabag) and the Regular Black Coffee Venti (That's Starbucks recipe for you to wake up for more than 24 hours. Proven, tested, and recommended. Cold: Dark Mocha Frappucino Venti with 4 shots (yes 4 shots to satisfy daily average consumption of caffeine) blended whipped cream... This is a late post but still with timeless lessons... I attended this Leadership Boot Camp to support the Campus LIFE leadership in the said Campus. Since he became the director for the Campus Missions Arm of the Light of Jesus Family. My mentor would always bug me to help him out on proclaiming the Gospel to the Campuses. Knowing my background as a Campus Volunteer in College as well as my desire to reach out the youth through the schools. My mentor would always encourage me to continue the mission and try to minister again to young people. It would take me quite a while before I answered such call... Now, I'm a Volunteer Campus Missionary for the Light of Jesus Campus LIFE. Supporting existing Campus LIFE in schools and planting seeds and reinvigorating mission fields to at least 10 campuses in Manila and outside. I found myself the happiness in what I do. 42 days before my birthday since I got the copy of this book. I'll always read this powerful book. It's actually one of the books that is so messy because of the highlights and notes in it (Far more messy than my rainbow codals) Everytime, I'd get another note or highlight some parts which I haven't got the past year. I learn each and every run of this program.
