Emalyn’s biggest fear is letting her guard down and actually falling in love. She doesn’t believe in it because her mother didn’t love her father like she said she did because she’s been having an affair when Emalyn was a young girl. Her mother than married the man once Emalyn & Dallas’ father was out of the picture.

So Emalyn doesn’t believe in the idea of it, she believes its an overused emotion but she does fear of falling hard for a man because she doesn’t want what happened to her father happen to her. She believes that no man likes the cold-hearted bitch so she’s content with being alone with a cat and a dog. She also knows she’s attractive so the whole sex thing isn’t an issue for her.
