Meta-Reflection 6

I too agree with what everyone said. But everything has pros and cons. Being able to communicate with people all around the world is one because it is efficient and easy. However the amount of personal information if overwhelming and people do not think before they post things online. I think we should learn from this because people are getting into trouble and some people are not getting jobs because of what they have posted in the past.
This posting was done to answer a question about social media and authoritarianism, for an article written by Evgeny Morozov. This post was agreeing with former posts about how social media is useful for many reasons. But however it may not work as easily as they believe and could possible rebound. I use a different example to help prove my point about how social media does have its downfalls. This post was important to me because when I first saw it I knew how I wanted to respond, but I thought that no one else would agree and believe that the Internet was only full of positives and not negatives. I was glad to hear that mainly everyone on the forum had the same idea and agreed with one another. I still agree with the post because I continually see the dangers of social media and how when someone reads something online they can interpret it different then how it was meant to be portrayed. This post was to reply to others and agree that once something is on the Internet it is in stone and cannot be erased. People do take advantage of the Internet and misuse it for what its for. No one directly responded to my post, but the forum continued with people agreeing with everyone’s , including myself, responses.
