Facebook meta-data implementation
So, i've had alot of problem with sharing the right meta-data to facebook. And i learned the answer the hard way.
The beginning
When you are want specific meta data form your site to show up when someone posts a link to it, you have to add these meta-link:
<meta property="og:title" content="The Rock"/> <meta property="og:type" content="movie"/> <meta property="og:url" content="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117500/"/> <meta property="og:image" content="http://ia.media-imdb.com/rock.jpg"/>
But, what happends when you first share that link is that facebook caches your metadata, especially the og:image. So beware. I had to wait for a month until the cache refreshed for some of my images. You can also try to flush the cache using the http://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/ but it's not guarenteed to work.
