Nervous.
She was nervous.
Queen was never nervous.
Slender fingers slid down the page of the book that lay open on her kitchen table. For whatever reason, her roommates didn't seem to be around. That was probably for the best. Queen didn't speak to them often and it seemed that they weren't particularly interested in her comings and goings. Besides, Nine could be a bit...well, Nine could be Nine. The teen shook her head before gazing back down at the work at hand. She was a decent cook, all things considered. She'd never made herself sick before.
But things were different when one had to cook for someone other than themself.
Queen sighed before readjusting her glasses. Anything she made would certainly be better than whatever Nine had been choking down. That idiot. Of course, she had an alternative reason for making him dinner tonight. Despite their apparent lack of school, studying was still important. One Nine had been lulled into a false sense of security with the food, Queen planned to spring the trap on him.
It certainly wasn't because she was feeling lonely. That idea alone was silly.
The knock at her apartment door made the female jump before she straightened her uniform. It wasn't like him to be early. She hadn't even begun to cook yet. "He'll just have to help..." Sighing the words to herself, Queen smiled slightly as her hand gripped the doorknob. Then, with a steadying sigh, the teen opened the door.
"You're early. How very unlike you."
