There are only a handful of people on planet Earth that I truly just admire and gush over and @iamroberttownsend is one of them. His work in film (namely Hollywood Shuffle and The Five Heartbeats) is not only the reason I wanted to be a Filmmaker and Director and Producer but apart of the reason that I believed and learned that making impactul black cinema is NECESSARY for the advancement of our culture. His body of work showcases the true diversity of black cinema and reminds us there are many ways to tell our stories.
