I’m actually very surprised there aren’t more spearmint shippers. It has so much potential!
Along with Bathbomb, they’re one of the best polar opposite ships. Can’t throw spears, makes spears. First campaign, last campaign.
Also, the AU ideas are endless. One I was thinking of is Saint going back in time. When they jumped into the void sea, instead of rubicon they go to the start of the timeline, Spearmaster. Eventually, they meet on their journey, and to Spearmaster they’re a normal slugcat with different abilities accompanying them.
Then they go to FP, Saint remembers him, and just after FP rips Spearmaster’s pearl out, Saint warns him of the rot and what it will cause. Then they both get thrown out and travel to the communication posts (i don’t remember what they’re called so I’m just gonna call them that). When they arrive, Saint tells Spearmaster about where they came from, who they are, their ascending power, the future, and the end of Rain World. Spearmaster is obviously shocked, and after putting the pearl out, invites Saint back to SRS’s can. They decline, and say they must go to the void sea, as it might be the only way for them to return home and complete their journey of ascending every creature.
They then go their seperate ways, and you can sort of imagine what happens there. Also nothing about them dating or whatever, but you could def put it in somewhere, that’s just my idea, plantonic or romantic.
