TADC Episode 8 spoilers under the cut

So, I've got a lot of thoughts about the sequence in the opening.

So, the red dot is definitely Caine, and at the start, the shapes being created are normal, stable shapes.

However, as more information is added to the dot, the more "abstract" the shapes are.

Caine mentions being "cut off" and we see this happen.

My theory to what's happening here is that the programmers "locked" him away after he became increasingly unstable, creating a new AI.

And at some point, the original AI (Caine) broke containment and absorbed this new AI, almost like a virus.

Causing it to become unstable as well.

This is probably when the program was abandoned.

This is almost definitely Caine creating the digital circus. Interesting to note that the grid is missing from the background.

I don't know, I just find it interesting. I was watching the episode with my friend @eagledrawsandvibes and mentioned all this to him.

Like, I haven’t seen a single person except for me that hasn’t beat any campaign

Idk maybe I’m not looking hard enough but I must be awful at gaming if I can’t even beat Monk because of shaded citadel

I adore all the Hogwarts Legacy OC's I came across. This is probably the rare time when I immencly enjoy reading through all the fanfics and artwork with OCs in a canon world.

Think about it. We've seen from Stayed Gone that he's capable of taking out the entire Pentagram's power

That man could do easily hold the city hostage.

Add to the fact that he's got a literal hypnotic eye and controls all of Hell's TV, and you've got one terrifying juggernaut.

*This* is why I think that he and Alastor would be so good together. They could easily have the whole ring at their control, because "he who controls the information, controls the people."

Updated/new scug designs! Yay!

Design notes (lots of rambling):

Riv has a long tail to help with swimming fast

Monk has a scar from the fall while Survivor just has a spinal injury (not visual).

Monk is the smallest slugcat (but the oldest out of her siblings!).

Gourmand is the biggest/tallest slugcat and she is CHONK. Her scars also connect on the back. Red lizor bite.

All of Hunter’s scars were from lizards except for their eye scar which was cut when leaping across those gaps in Farm Arrays and missing (so she’s pretty much had it since the start of his campaign).

Inv is really scarred because train lizards SUCK and wouldn’t stop beating them up.

Nightcat grew their hair over their eyes because she has pupils in the form of a star which they thought looked weird.

Spearmaster’s chest just exploded when FP took the pearl from their chest that’s why the scar looks like that.

Spearmaster’s tail is very long so all the stuff that creates spears can function. They’re also very light to move around quicker.

Saint’s ears adapted to the cold by curling so snow wouldn’t clog their ears, but either way xey ended up partially deaf.

They do also have a tongue, I just couldn’t be bothered to draw it.

Shoutout to the people who played Monk instead of Survivor on their first play throughs. Y’all are some the best in the fandom.

I’m actually very surprised there aren’t more spearmint shippers. It has so much potential!

Along with Bathbomb, they’re one of the best polar opposite ships. Can’t throw spears, makes spears. First campaign, last campaign.

Also, the AU ideas are endless. One I was thinking of is Saint going back in time. When they jumped into the void sea, instead of rubicon they go to the start of the timeline, Spearmaster. Eventually, they meet on their journey, and to Spearmaster they’re a normal slugcat with different abilities accompanying them.

Then they go to FP, Saint remembers him, and just after FP rips Spearmaster’s pearl out, Saint warns him of the rot and what it will cause. Then they both get thrown out and travel to the communication posts (i don’t remember what they’re called so I’m just gonna call them that). When they arrive, Saint tells Spearmaster about where they came from, who they are, their ascending power, the future, and the end of Rain World. Spearmaster is obviously shocked, and after putting the pearl out, invites Saint back to SRS’s can. They decline, and say they must go to the void sea, as it might be the only way for them to return home and complete their journey of ascending every creature.

They then go their seperate ways, and you can sort of imagine what happens there. Also nothing about them dating or whatever, but you could def put it in somewhere, that’s just my idea, plantonic or romantic.
