What’s with all the deaths in the Dominican Republic?
In my opinion, I feel that it is highly likely that the deaths may be related to the use of methyl bromide, which has been banned in the USA but is still used in the Caribbean, and many third world countries for fumigation as it's inexpensive and achieves the desired results.
The one downside of the use of methyl bromide is that it is highly toxic.
Methyl bromide poisoning can start with the following symptoms headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting.
The cause of death with methyl bromide poisoning is almost always pulmonary edema leading to respiratory failure or cardiovascular collapse, which has been a common cause of death amongst most of the deaths in the Dominican Republic.
