The ice mage appeared from behind him. An arm coming to rope itself around Hibiki’s waist. “ You remember that old bookstore I mentioned during my last mission. Well … “ His free arm came up from behind his back revealing an old worn out black book. Lyon tilted his head towards Hibiki’s ear while leaning forward against his backside. “ I saw something that made me think of you. So I got you a little gift.” His voice coming out in a hushed tone with the gentlest of a smile forming on his lips.
he knew lyon was near, of course. it was hard to miss him when one was observant and smitten as hibiki was. he was attempting to act casual, but all attempts went immediately out the window once he felt an arm around his waist. perfect. it felt right, somehow, lyon behind so close. hibiki resisted the urge to lean into it — too much all at once. he was just thankful his job made it easier for him to hide his fluster so he wasn't so OPEN and OBVIOUS.
bookstore? lyon was whsipering sweet nothing in his ear, now. this was very forward for them. hibiki was...more than okay with.
"a gift? lyon...you shouldn't have." but he couldn't deny the excitement and rush of feeling the idea was. a new book. from lyon. from an old bookstore with a crochety owner who looked both a million years old and young. how wonderful! hibiki turned his head towards lyon, their faces were so very close. "but i'm not about to say no to a free book, either."
