Fourteenth Annual Industry Spotlight

Last evening, I got a chance to take part in Fourteenth Annual Industry Spotlight hosted by NYC ACM SIGGRAPH. The participating companies including: Aardman Nathan Love, Buck, UVPH, The Mill, The Molecule, Mr X Gotham and Zoic Studios. The presenters shared a bit about their company, show some of their recent work, and discuss future projects. I’m so glad to feast my eyes on their fantastic works!

I find some of their show reel and films as following:

This one comes from Aardman Nathan Love. The craziest awesome shit I've seen in awhile! I Love this film! Aardman always make great character animation! Although the characters just have mouths and eyes! Everyone in the event laughed when they are watching it. 

This one also comes from Aardman Nathan Love. I really like the walking gut!

I can just find BUCK’s 2012 reel. It’s different from the one I saw last night, but it also looks good. I think BUCK is one of the companies I really want to work for. Enjoy it!

This one comes from The Mill. First time I watch this music video was on a compositing class. Very impressive long shot!

Hello: Welcome to the SIGGRAPH NYC Student Chapter blog!  We are two students currently attending the School of Visual Arts BFA Computer Art Department. 

Arielle Trenk (President) is a 3D Texturing Artist/Illustrator, a Junior, and a 2014 SIGGRAPH Student Volunteer.

Suejee Lee (Vice President) is an Animator, Sophomore, and Treasurer of SVA’s 3D Animation Club.  

We are thrilled to start connecting our fellow CG/VFX students throughout NYC by offering various events and networking opportunities. More posts to follow!
