Chapter 11
The man leaned back in the soft seat as soon as the Fenton house disappeared from view. The boy had seriously exhausted him by forcing him to control himself during training so that he wouldn't accidentally freeze everything around him. Even though Danny didn't resist the influence, his extraordinary resistance to mind control had taken a toll on Vlad's already limited resources.
— He's just like you, Maddy, — Vlad muttered, closing his eyes. He exhaled wearily, rubbing his temples in an attempt to stave off the onset of a headache.
A pleasant image from the past warmed his soul. Madeleine was one of the few people who had captured his interest in his youth. Her sharp mind and lively personality were like a spark that ignited his own heart. In her eyes, the familiar and already boring world was reflected in a new way. It was a shame that she was reluctant to share this spark with him, preferring the company of a loud and overly bright “friend.” Vlad shook his head slightly to dispel the unpleasant thoughts that inevitably followed his memories.

Notes:I would like to do something nice for those who support this work and introduce them to the domestic special services for the control of anomalous phenomena. This is also a kind of evil ghosts😊. In addition, this world is bribed by the optimism of its inhabitants. Wars, mutants and the apocalypse - not a reason not to go to work. In your basement got a giant spider the size of a sheepdog? Great, now you have a new pet! Your car grew teeth? So you don't have to spend money on gas anymore! And this is world of METRONOMICON
