I should probably be saving this question until the game is done/released and I can read the rulebook, but will Mortasheen offer a way to play as the monsters instead of the mad doctors? Looking through some of these monster entries, a part of me just wants to BE one of them instead of merely being buddies with them.

I still don’t know when it’s gonna come out and I get updates pretty slow, but yes! Almost one of the first ideas they solidified was that an experienced enough character can simply transfer their brain to a monster body and be a part of the team themselves.Canonically a lot of monsters are smart enough to command a monster squad from the get-go but for a player option they wanted that to be something you had to work towards

In Tokyo Mirage Sessions, that Fire Emblem/Shin Megami Tensei crossover on the Wii U, the North American version removed the outline on one of the girls' pelvic bones. Unsurprisingly, a vocal group of fans reflexively cried out "censorship!" some even boycotting the release just for that.

I'm still not sure whether I find this more or less ridiculous than the outrage over the missing pelvic bone outline in Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

The only problem is, because of the limited print run in North America, buying a Wii copy of Xenoblade is pretty expensive (though I imagine the Wii U Virtual Console release and the N3DS port may have brought the price down a bit).

Ah, right, I forgot about that nonsense. Turns out, that was also manufactured by Gamestop, if I’m not mistaken. Ugh it sucks too, cause my honest recommendation is to play it on Wii if possible. It’s just a better game on console imo :c

As someone without a Wii U or New 3DS who just wants to play Xenoblade 1, I feel like I'd be exhausted even without embarrassing things like this, but gosh.
