in response to your past post !!! my fav utdr rarepair is definitely mettaton and toriel,,, dunno why but it appeals to me idk,,,
I have not thought about that pairing before, but I see it! Really any pairing where Toriel, someone who is relatively composed and formal, mingles with someone who is Utterly Extra™ is bound to be fun, and this pairing 100% fits that mold. Toriel may be overwhelmed by the sheer presence of Mettaton at first, but Mettaton would convince her to get in the groove of his dance-offs or whatever party he may be hosting that night.
I can see Mettaton introducing her to so many new experiences she didn't get to have as a result of her isolation in the Ruins, and in turn, Toriel showing Mettaton there is excitement to be had in the smaller side of life like baking snail pies and reading by the fireplace! It'll also be a pleasant surprise for Mettaton when he finds out Toriel can get extremely passionate in certain things such as when they go watch snail racing hehe. They would be good for each other me thinks :]
