explain the john green hate. i didn't even know who he was till i googled. his books sound shit

oh man where to begin okay so -

1) he romanticizes the SHIT out of depression & needing someone to complete yourself etc etc all of that lazy writing that is also just unhealthy for young girls and boys to read and to fully believe. they end up believing that they’re inadequate as an individual and will always be unhappy without someone else to fix them.

2) He writes about women really really horribly & i predict that his response would be something like “but one of my protagonists in my biggest book is a female” which is a bullshit response. He loves the fetish of hot nerdy girls and slut shames the stereotype of popular cheerleaders or whatever & then preaches social justice.

3) He’s the creepiest dude honestly think about the fact that he writes NOTHING but young adult fiction about sad teenage couples fucking and being in love. GROW UP JOHN GREEN.
