This came out of the image left to me by a writing...

I interpreted that Luis felt the national disappointment for not being able to get in. We had no hope of getting in but we were very excited for the last game, they even put screens in my university for the last game, but when the time was over everyone moved away from the screens and the mood was killed when Arabia scored a goal

I felt that we were all divided and on top of that there was a TV station that mentioned the waste of 4 years and the disappointment that those who manage the Mexican national team should feel

I interpret all of this as Luis feeling physically tired and dark circles under his eyes. in the writing, Luis can't open a can of soda given to him by Alfred because he lost his strength. Alfred told him that he wanted to help him, not only referring to opening the can, and this was Luis' response...

!!! thank you. God, I always forget how much I love them??? It's the ultimate ship of young love as tender as spring damned to burn by his ambition. 18th-century enlightenment teenagers making out in a haystack, promising they'll be better than their fathers. And then Alfred grew up to become the most powerful country the world has ever known. It's betrayal; it's an inevitability. But that tenderness lingers. It's always cycling with the seasons, renewing and dying.

There's so much cultural movement and commonality on top of utterly fucked up history.

She's always in his mouth, he speaks Spanish with the accent of her people in his country. They have so much going back and forth over that border. I am literally eating a taco writing this. He's bombastic, loud, overbearing... but I like to think there's something left over from when she was the jewel of North America and he was labouring in homespun. Standing stiffly after an argument but next to each other because the politicians have their demands and his thumb rubbing circles over her knuckles the way it once did because too long writing with a quill made it hurt. Laughter over a meal of his overpriced barbacoa and glass bottles of her real-sugar coke. He's shit at football, she loves it, they host together. Laying alone in a bed listening to her fuck his blander northern shadow when he's the one who shoved them together, but he doesn't love her, he doesn't, he won't. A messy fuck, mouths tasting of mezcal and lime, against a wall after thirty shots of tequila between them and the bed empty come breakfast. The half-remembered salt of her skin where he kissed her hand to say I remember and maybe tomorrow will be better, fairer because the words get stuck in their throats.
