Manifold Monday: Torrance Hates SMA
7 year old author Torrance Johnson Jr., along with his mom Katrina Johnson wrote a wonderful book to let us know how this debilitating disease affects him. Not only is he confined to a wheelchair because his muscles are too weak to support his body, but he is often subject to people who think his disease will get on them!
This disease not only affects young Torrance, but the entire family and especially the marriage of his parents. Torrance has visited the White House and first lady Michelle Obama via the Make a Wish foundation and he was the Goodwill Ambassador for Michigan Muscular Dystrophy Association.
