You know, in my general upset over MGSV being unfinished and the game itself being a bad, sad time, I totally forgot that Konami must have been planning MGS Survive for a lot longer... I always thought the wormhole fultons were weird... So... I guess the lost soldier makes it back during the events of MGSV, the R&D team develops devices to harness these alternate dimensions safely without getting any zombie bites on the cargo, and then Solid Snake burns Venom and Diamond Dogs to the sea floor, taking all records of Survive ever happening with it. My remaining questions are... did Kojima have a vision of the future that caused him to prevent this game having any influence on his series as a whole? Or was this a happy coincidence? Is the alternate dimension the result of people being given pachinko machines over actual finished video games?? We may never know.
