A privately owned 1957 Max Holste MH.1521 in French Air Force markings lines up to land at RAF Fairford
This 1957-built Broussard was initially assigned to the French military in Algeria but flew on France’s civil register as F-BICX from 1961. It was primarily used to drop parachutists, and subsequently became F-GEDC in 1984. After a period of restoration, it was exported to Canada in 2006 but was rarely flown and eventually arrived in the UK at the end of 2019. Painted to represent ‘30-QA’ of the French Air Force’s 30 Escadre, it arrived at Oaksey Park in January 2020.
