You can really feel the utter silence when Deku sees Kacchan in the middle of the field by himself for the first time. Just that period of quietness and Deku’s blank expression sends CHILLS down my spine because it’s the moment he sees him. The moment before he realizes. The moment before he starts spiraling thinking “… no no no don’t tell me. It can’t be-“ and so many other what ifs. I CAN’T EVEN wrap my head around what that overwhelming spike of anxiety must feel like seeing the person you care about the most appear unresponsive, covered in blood, and in the middle of destruction. All one can desperately hope for is that it isn’t the worst case scenario.
