COLUMBO: Oh you’re very correct, sir. I’m sorry for wasting the time of you an your esteemed guests. I’ll show myself out.
COLUMBO: ...Oh, one more thing. My nephew, he’s a nurse at the hospital you said you stayed. I was talking to him about your injuries and you know what he said? He said he hadn’t seen you in there in 3 months! Said your leg was healed the last time he heard. Now why would your leg still be in a cast if it’s fully healed? Aint that the funniest thing? By the way, you dropped your smoking gun in the bushes out there. Got the whole thing on tape by the way.
BANKER RICH DUDE: Of course you do...
Well, now-a-days, we have Crunchyroll. Back then, downloading anime was the only option outside of Japan. The only legal route was like, dvds that cost way too much and only come out years after the anime has ended. And a lot of anime doesn’t even get distributed here. Hell, sometimes, the studios only know what shows to bring over because the people who pirated it were demanding it.
To be honest, the whole argument of “piracy reduces costs” is kind of bogus. People who download the anime without buying the dvd was probably never going to buy the dvd in he first place. It’s called not having money, or not giving a shit.
When the American dubbing industry crashed in 2008, they tried to blame the pirates but really it was because the economy took a huge hit that year and people can’t afford $14 dvds that only house 4 episodes anymore.
This is why we have crunchyroll.
A coin that scans into digital data... OH NO! SHE’S OPEN THE GATE TO CRYPTOLAND!
GOLEM: It was that day I became a father. I thought my purpose was the watch the forest, but when I became responsible for a human life, I found a greater purpose. And through them, I finally realized my true loneliness. I didn’t need to be alone anymore. I had something I never had before... a family.
CHILD: Why are you narrating to yourself? Who are you?
GOLEM: Am I saying all that out loud? Why did the animals never tell me?!?
OOOF! yEP, bad timing there.
OOOOOF
JEGUS! I mean, points for your honesty, but could you have put that a little more lightly at least?
Damn, just, wreck this girl why don’t ya ^^;;
Wait! Is this that romance anime with the really tall man and the tiny girl? :O
