Do you know that June is national Migraine and Headache Awareness month?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I unfortunately do suffer from hideous migraines and it can feel quite debilitating at times. Last year one of the things I started to do to help me ride through the pain was doodle draw. I know that might sound odd but it really did help me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I couldn't just hide away in a dark quiet room, as that was tricky with little kids. So I found the process of focusing on my pen on paper quite soothing. The meditative process of just going with the flow while doodle drawing helped me to forget the pain. I could easily spend hours doodle drawing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This doodle sketch was my visual representation of what my migraine felt like. I usually see squirmy squiggles and purple is the predominant colour.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ :⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ :⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ :⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ :⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ :⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #pullandpin #migraineinspiredart #migraineart #mham #mham2020 @nationalheadachefoundation #artsandhealth #artandwellbeing #slowartist #doodleartist #intuitiveartist #mindfulartist (at Brighton and Hove) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBk14eLndvv/?igshid=1tu23cegsfurg
