I don't get what you mean tho, like the film didn't set them up to fall in love that's kind of why it's so tragic? That's sort of the whole point of why the alternate universe ending is so sad.
What’s so tragic about it? In the end both of them got what they wanted. Nothing stopping them to be together in the first place, they just don’t want to work on their relationship. Are you telling me because one like jazz and another want to be a movie star the universe will automatically stand in their way? And that alternate universe just doesn’t make sense. Who the fuck kiss a stranger after being fired? Like if I went into a club and approached a musician to compliment him and he suddenly kissed me? I fucking slapped him hard his teeth will end up in a different continent.
Ugh, sorry. I know you love that movie but if you can convince me it that it’s worth a second viewing I’m willing to give it another go. But so far I just couldn’t find anything special about it.
