“Shit!”
Arthur can barely get a word out before he’s furiously dabbing the spilled coffee from his keyboard. Dirty, crumpled paper towels crowd up his desk as he cleans, only making the situation more overwhelming for the man in the chair. Minutes go by as he tries to save any keys that he can, and he only looks up at his monitors when a quiet buzz begins to go off.
“Fuck, shit, just hold on one second-”
He yells out to the other person on the line, flinging the paper towels off of his desk as quickly as he can to retrieve his ear piece that had fallen out. He stumbles, the seconds that go by feeling like minutes while he searches. A wave of guilt washes over Arthur as he realizes he’d completely abandoned his associate in the middle of a job. He doesn’t find the earpiece and get it back in place until he’s thrown nearly everything from his desk into the trash.
“I’m here, I’m here! I’m sorry, I spilled-, fuck it. I fucked up, are you okay? Do you still need the security code?”
