I have been saving this in my drafts for too long— and I'm using this sudden fill of motivation to finally make this short comic before I burnout—
Finally I can yap about this SPECIFIC moment I've thought every since I made MI!Hayati. It honestly took a while to decide which power I should give to her that shouldn't be 'too great' but can definitely improve overtime + relate it to Hayati's traits.
If anyone noticed, most of the powers I give to my oc are either: Dark Energy Manipulation (my main), Lunar/Moon-themed Magic (my 2nd fav), being a cat, or a mix of these.
But for MI, I decided to go for the "whatever she draws comes to life, but has LOTS of conditions" cuz I thought specifically of this moment which could be part for her "improvement" throughout her studies & trainings in MI. (Obviously not the biting self-h4rm part) It's discovering she doesn't need ONLY natural-based ink pens (from octopuses/squids)... because if u remember, her manifestation for her drawings only work when the "ink" comes from a living being. Doesn't really have to be pure black or even have color, as long as smth liquid comes from a living being (or used to be a living being), it could technically be used as an ink to her drawing which she can manifest to life.
I also like to add the kind of 'ink' (from a living being) she uses, affects her creations. When she made drawings to life or reality using a personalizsd pen with octopus ink (expensive pen yeh yeh), her creations are weak or wouldn't last too long (or would only last if she draws and uses more ink for more 'stability'). Not because octopuses are weak as living beings— but because the pen was still manufactured in a factory/handmade in a pen workshop (??), so the 'living essence' from the ink gradually fades.
But! As you can see in the comic, MI!Hayati used her own blood as a last resort to try and pass the test, and made a demonic entity. Because the blood is fresh, her creation has more strength and durability compared to what she can make with the pens she bought.
Sorry to my main oc, the other schools are so peak 😭🙏🏻—- also double sorry for my forgotten ocs... i haven't got any updates much from the og creator of your verses 🥹🥲
// maybe I am posting this cuz I did wanna give a crumble of attention to my forgotten ocs in a way... 🥀

About her power: SKETCHBOUND MANIFESTATION 🖼 🖋✨️
The ability to bring sketched/drawn creations to life using bio-based ink, creating temporary living creatures/items that act based on their design.
Quick backstory:
When she was 12, her parents thought her powers would actually be useful and that she'd make a 'great hero'. However, when she was enrolled to Academy of Heroes at 17, her abilities weren't qualified enough or couldn't keep up with the standards, eventually leading to her dropping out. And now, her parents decided to enroll her to Marcellus Institution by 18.
"How were her powers considered 'unqualified'?"
Her ability may honestly seem pretty useful at first, until you learn the conditions that comes along with it. Here are the conditions of her power:
Creations only last for a maximum of 5 minutes before dissolving
Creations are physically fragile and can be easily destroyed
Creations instantly weaken or dissolve upon contact with water (or any sort of liquid)
Requires a specific pen filled with ink derived from a living organism (ex: squid or octopus)
Drawings made with non-living materials (ex: charcoal, graphite) CANNOT be brought to life
The quality and detail of the drawing directly affect the item's/creature's functionality and stability
Creations cannot act beyond what is visually and structurally implied in the drawing (ex: if she draws a snake, the drawn snake can't produce venom)
Once destroyed or expired, creations cannot be restored and must be redraw.
Another issue her ability has is the "SPEED VS QUALITY". In battle, Hayati must hurry up and quickly sketch to create an item (ex: a shield) for defense (or attacking). However the item's quality sucks and will get easily damage in one or two hits. So she'll need to start over again and do it multiple times, which is energy-draining for her.
But if she takes her time in sketching, she can create an item with better quality (like it functions well and can last up to 5 minutes MAX.). But if she does take her time, she's vulnerable in battle which is also risky for her.
I think the only advantage she does have is she can draw anywhere as long as it's a flat surface. She does prefer to do it in a paper so she can see the details better.

That's all for now! Feel free to ask about her mwehehehehe 🫶🏼
MI!Hayati and her Sketchbound Manifestation Ability!
___
Hayati often uses a pen that runs on octopus ink to use her ability! It's definitely pricey compared to a normal pen so Hayati doesn't always use her octopus ink-based pen, just on occasional times heh. She does keep a stash of it on her room.
