Chunhei sat quietly with her hand pressed to the speakers of the stereo, the mall was crowded today, but the music store was seemingly empty. She couldn’t make out the words of the song, it was all distortion. Then it stopped, the girl quietly got up from her spot on the floor and decided to leave. The smell of sweets the lingered in the air from the food kisoks and the children running around made her feel dizzy.
She made her way out and walked into the direction of the cafe. It was nice out, Chunhei enjoyed the spring. Everything came back to life, including the people. She smiled at the little boy who ran past her and the mother chasing him, and made her way into the cafe. During the day, she had the same routines. Which mostly consisted of waking up, drinking coffee and hoping nothing goes awry. After getting her usual, Chunhei turned around to find a spot to relax and felt her body collide with another, spilling the iced drink all over her and the other person. “Oh my god.” she spoke quietly closing her eyes in embarrassment and frustration.
