Welp, got to test out the AWD on the new car this morning. Spring St looks absolutely clear compared to Oak street which is a complete mess. Also, why do people feel the need to cross the street when the light is green when people are driving slow because the weather is bad? New Year, New Country...
Hey everyone, Day 1 is under wraps. Started off the new year right in Auckland. After a long 15 hour flight, we landed at 6 a.m. and had the whole day to adjust and familiarize ourselves with the city. Had a great lunch with the the Miami and Maryland group. We then ventured to the Sky Tower, which is the picture in the top left and bottom middle. The Sky Tower is the largest man-made structure in New Zealand! Sadly, when we got to the sky deck, it started pouring and limited the view of the amazing city. Can’t complain if that was the worst thing to happen all day.
Since we missed New Years in New Zealand, we decided to head to a local Irish bar and celebrate New Years with our friends and family back home. Overall, I would say it was a very successful first day. Looking forward to getting to know the city better. Stay tuned for more. Happy New Years everybody!
