Sony confirms PlayStation presence at PAX AUS
PAX Australia is just over two months away (some 78 days, if you’re counting), and we’re starting to hear details about just who will be headed to Melbourne for the celebration of gaming culture. This year should be big, with Sony confirming that PlayStation will be there – making its first official appearance at the event.

Sony on the PS4's troubled 2.00 update: “we’re not bulletproof”
How well do you think Sony handled the issues following the 2.00 firmware update? Were you affected?
Sony Computer Entertainment Australia Managing Director Michael Ephraim has told VG247 that the recent issues surrounding the PlayStation 4’s 2.00 update were “unfortunate”.
“It was very unfortunate. We hate that,” he said. “The [PlayStation] Network was down during the 2.0[0] release. It’s very unfortunate. Those things are gonna happen over time. We’re not bulletproof on those things.”

Sony Takes on iTunes
Rumors are heating up that Sony might remove its artists from iTunes, becoming the first label to show the finger to the Apple experience. After iTunes pulled Sony's eReader app from the iTunes store citing that it bypassed iTunes in app purchase system.
Obviously, Sony might be a bit pissed about that, and in the wake of their announcement that they will be launching a music streaming service called Music Unlimited, that has some potential of gaining some ground purely because of the integration with the Playstation 3 OS. Their hope is to have their service take off, and then not have a need for iTunes anymore. Michael Ephraim, CEO of the company, has said that, "Publishers are being held ransom by Apple," and he's looking to open up other avenues for publishers to take their music.
It's a ballsy move from Sony if they go through with it, but it seems to be entirely dependent on Music Unlimited succeeding.
