A concerned follower asked him a question about balding / head shaving a few days ago, and I couldn’t help but smile at his response:
Follower - Advice for a 19 yo balding guy?
Michael - Do it. With pride and honour.
That simple but powerful, 6-word response encapsulates so much of what I try to preach on this blog.
Shaving your head because of a thinning and/or receding hairline does not represent ‘failure’. It does not mean you are ‘less than’. It represents the fact you are Male and have androgens (natty or otherwise) coursing through you.
If you need any proof, look no further than the second picture of Michael. Who in their right mind could say this Man is ‘less than’, that he isn’t fucking thriving?
Never feel ashamed of your masculinity. Embrace it, be proud of it.
