Oh hey it’s been awhile since I bothered everyone with my reading recommendations so here we go:
- Matt Dymerski’s massive multi-part story beginning with The Portal In The Forest
This is a hard sell. If you take a look at the above link you’ll see that this is A Lot of reading. If you like creepy pasta, you may be familiar with Matt’s work via [psychosis]. He’s well known on r/noSleep. For a long while he wrote just about everything in one big intertwining universe, and the bolded link is a reading guide to reading it in order. It’s fantastic, well written, my favorite thing I’ve read in the last decade, and I have never convinced a single person to read it 😂 Matt hopes to one day release it complete in a book set, and I will buy it instantaneously.
- What football will look like in the future (aka 17776) by Jon Bois. (And it’s sequel 20020)
Idk what to tell you about this other than I don’t like football and I adore this webseries. It’s extremely wholesome, the sequel has married gays that I would die for… idk read it. (Edit: it’s kinda about life free of capitalism)
And uhh idk, here’s the SCPs I consider the creepiest:
-SCP-093
-SCP-610
Edit: while I’m at it, I’ll recommend printed books.
-Shade’s Children by Garth Nix
-The Green Book by Jill Paton Walsh (the sci-fi novel not whatever the movie by the same name is)
