Cazul de mai jos s-a petrecut in Anglia si a socat o tara intreaga prin duritatea lui.

Cei mai multi parinti nu se gandesc la faptul ca micutii lor ar putea fi in pericol atunci cand merg cu ei la un medic pediatru, pentru un control. Din nefericire, exista doctori care profita de aceasta incredere oarba, si ajung astfel sa comita fapte oribile, greu de imaginat.

'Bomb proof' doctor who raped girls at Savile-abuse hospital jailed for 18 years

A forner children's doctor who believed he was "bomb proof" has been jailed for 18 years for indecently assaulting girls at the same hospital where Jimmy Savile abused patients. Michael Salmon, 80, thought no one would believe a child over a trusted doctor but a jury found him guilty of nine counts of indecent assault and two of rape against six girls aged between 12 and 18. Judge Joanna Cutts at Reading Crown Court sentenced Salmon to 18 years and 10 years for each rape and to two years for each of the indecent assaults. All sentences are to run concurrently. The judge said the offences took place between 1980 and 1987.

There is no suggestion that this defendant abused a young female patient in concert with Jimmy Savile. It's simply that these allegations relate to a time when the other things were happening.

She told Salmon, of Salisbury, Wiltshire, he'd acted with "conceited arrogance and complete disregard" for his young female patients and "purely for your own sexual gratification". He carried out many of his attacks behind a screen in his consulting room while his victim's parents waited, believing he was completing a medical examination. Salmon worked as a consultant paediatrician at hospitals in Buckinghamshire including the world-renowned Stoke Mandeville in Aylesbury. Stoke Mandeville was thrown into the spotlight in 2011 following disclosures prolific paedophile Savile repeatedly abused patients at the hospital where he had his own office.

The bravery of those he attacked in coming forward and securing justice must be recognised. His treatment of them in court, suggesting they were lying and 'gold diggers' was frankly disgusting.
