Michael De Santa Appreciation Week - Day 6 - Favorite “Rip Your Heart” Out Moment

I replay Bury the Hatchet a lot because I like shoot shoot bang bang and I can never gild this mission.

But ugh, Michael’s flashback on his way to his grave gets me. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Ned Luke’s voice acting is fucking phenomenal here, one of the game’s highlights for me.

Michael De Santa appreciation week - Day 1: Favourite cutscene(s)

I’m a little bit late, but I really wanted to do this appreciation week! My favourite cutscene is when Trevor comes back with Patricia after taking a walk and Michael says the "Yes, I hear Stockholm Syndrome is very nice this time of year” line.

Couldn’t stop laughing the first time I saw this cutscene, so it’s my favourite without any doubt.

Anyway, for day two of Michael appreciation week my favorite outfit for him (besides the all black suit) is this! I switched over to him before a mission and this was what he had on. I guess it was randomized? I didn't like it at first but it grew on me.

Michael Appreciation Week - Day 5: Favorite friendship

- Michael & Therapy - Michael & Huge Amounts of Alcohol - Michael & Franklin - Michael & Amanda

I know the typical choice for Michael’s #1 friendship spot is usually reserved for Trevor, but I see his relationship to Franklin and Amanda being stronger. In Ending B, Michael is completely destroyed by the idea of Franklin betraying him, and in Endings A and C, doesn’t hesitate to come to his aid- even killing Trevor as a means of helping protect Franklin. If Franklin doesn’t take that final shot, Michael does. Throughout the game, Michael consistently protects Franklin and they celebrate victories together- even going as far as to refer to Franklin as the son he’d always wanted As for Amanda, their marriage is definitely lacking in romantic love by the time the game starts. But it seems their friendship and quasi-love based on loyalty to to that friendship is at least salvaged. While *I feel* it would be more beneficial for them to split up and just be friends, they seem to have decided that they find comfort in each other.

as much as I love “sarcasm... and a room full of you cunts!” , Michael teasing Trevor as if they were an old married couple is just too hilarious to leave aside (+it’s a perfect trikey moment)
